Nationality Requirement
To be qualified and accepted for the EFCC job you must be a Nigerian by birth.
What this means is that even if you are not from Nigeria but were born and brought up here you can as well apply since you have background knowledge of the Nigerian system.
To be born here means you will one way or the other have some interest here even if you are not from here.
So you will present the following as evidence.
- Birth Certificate
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Nigerian Passport
Mode of Identification
EFCC will want to know if you are truly from here and to be very sure they will ask you to bring any mode of identification along with you.
This mode of identification includes any of the following:
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Valid Passport
- Driver’s License
- Voter’s Card
- National Identity Card
Educational Qualifications
For you to be recruited one of the qualifications is your educational qualification. You must be certified that you went to school and completed your education.
So what are the qualifications they need?
- SSSC.
- ND
- HND
- BS.c or any other relevant degree.
NYSC Requirement
To work at EFCC you are expected to have completed your National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
If you are sure you have completed it, then present the certificate which is always given to everyone once they are through.
If you were exempted then there should be a form of certification or written note from NYSC, present it as well and they will honor it.
Physical and Medical Fitness Record
If you are not okay health wise there is no need to apply. There are other jobs that may not require this.
EFCC will have you move from place to place as when you are assigned for primary assignment.
They need people who are okay with their health without any health challenges.

Meet The Age Requirement
Always know the age requirement for each recruitment.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old and not more than 35 years old.

You Must Not Have Any Criminal Record or History
If you have been convicted of a crime or taken to the police for something or the other and it was said you are guilty or taken to Nigerian court and you are guilty then you don’t need to apply.

You Must Have Some Certifications
This one is an added advantage and those with past experience will be considered first.
If you have worked with a security organization or firm before then photocopy some documents and attach to show you have experience and you can handle the job.
Having prior knowledge is good as you will do well since you have been in a system that has to do with security and protection of life or property.
If you are also a cyber security expert and you have worked somewhere please present some evidence too, you are highly welcome.
To be honest that can actually give you a good position as you are starting or you might be paid higher even when you are in level one.
Good Communication Skills Needed
Where you will be working you must speak English well and speak one or two other languages apart from your own.
This is good when you are going out to investigate.
You can act as an interpreter for the other agent attached to you so it’s an added advantage to know one of the major languages in Nigeria or all of the 4 – Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, and Ibibio.

- Go to EFCC’s official website http://www.efcc.gov.ng/. Make sure it’s the real one.
- Click on “Recruitment” or “Apply Now”
- Click on the link to create a new account.
- A form will pop up, fill the fields – and create an email and password.
- After signing up is complete, check your email for confirmation.
- Click the link in the email to confirm your account.
- Now go back to the EFCC website and log in with your email and the password you created earlier.
- Now Click on “Start Application.” This will take you to the form to fill out.
- Fill in your three full names in the field.
- Choose your date of birth from the calendar.
- Fill in your active phone number in the field (It should be correct and active).
- Provide your residential address.
- Fill in the schools and universities you attended based on your educational qualification.
- Share any work or experience (just provide the company names and dates).
- Upload your passport photo
- Upload your educational certificates and identification documents.
- You will see different jobs, select the one that fits you.
- Finally, click “Submit.” This will send your application to EFCC.
